TYPES OF PRINCIPLES

Though many writers state that there are many types of principles which include principle of science, religion and moral laws. I categorically want to bring to your notice two basic principles namely;

(a) PRINCIPLE OF POVERTY: Proverbs 6:9-11 says “How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? When wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?  Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:  So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.”  The explanation for poverty here is simple. In fact it is the most common thing you can ever practice without cost: laziness cost you nothing, sleep while others are at work, follow worthless endeavors and friends and you will remain poor. You just have to fold your hand while others are planning, sleep while others are awake. The principle of poverty is simple “do nothing meaningful and you will achieve a better result of poverty.

(b) THE PRINCIPLE OF SUCCESS: there are three principles of success that makes a man exceptional

(a) Wisdom and knowlegde: In all things get wisdom (Eccl. 7:12 says For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom giveth life to them that have it”.

(b) Willingness: This is simply a dedicated submission to do a task without any external control. You don’t have to force to go to work. This action must precede from your inner most mind.

Proverbs 6: 9-8 says “Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:  Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.” Isaiah 1:19 says “if ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” Here you need to do a whole lot information gathering, analysis, research, and everything you need to know about success and even relate with successful people either through the product of their success such as books, materials or by having a close contact with them. In the process of walking towards your breakthrough, the following must be given an utmost consideration:

(i)  SELF DISCOVERY: Discover the very opportunity you have, the privileges and the real person that you are. Self discovery has to do with who you are your true self-esteem, your potentials, strength as well as weaknesses. Until you discover your true self, life will be miserable and painful. This is because you will be running on the wrong track of life.

(ii)RISK BEARING AND MANAGEMENT: Your opportunity requires your ability to take meaningful risk. This requires stepping out of your comfort zone. Until you learn how to take justifiable risk and punish you skin, you will put your soul in misery.

 

(iii)  BE A WORKER: Those who refused to work will eat the bread of idleness. Lazy men and men without plan (vision) are inflicted by law of accident. Proverbs 12:11 says “He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.”  

(iv)   ENLARGE YOUR VISION: Be focused and determined. This is what keeps our hope alive. Go for the best, but don’t compete and compare yourself with others. Just stand out! Stand tall. When a vision is limited to your immediate environment, it is not vision. Vision sees beyond the ordinary, vision see years to come, not just three to five years but years unexpected. It took seventeen years after Joseph’s dream about his leadership and life breakthrough. In Daniel 10:7-7, Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with him saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.  Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.  Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.  You must be a man with Division so you can be abreast with recent heavenly happenings.

IMPORTANCE OF PRINCIPLES IN BREAKTHROUGH

(a)  It gives us a guide and good judgment of the requirements and obligations of right behavior and insight into life’s reality.

(b)  It restricts us from going the wrong direction or place.

(c)   Principle serves as an instrument of moral conduct. A man without principles lives by the law of accident.

(d)  It helps us restrict or control our behaviors.
